Bridgerton Season 2 understands a fundamental truth of romance stories: there’s nothing more exciting than watching animosity turn to amore. The enemies to lovers trope is packed with delicious tension, sexual and otherwise. On Bridgerton, Anthony’s and Kate’s own internal hostility to one another gets in the way of their obvious desire, and the payoff (for them and us) is watching the couple working through so much in order to be together.
