Succession is at its core a portrait of power in the figure of media mogul and patriarch Logan Roy. After seasons of declaring he would never cede control of Waystar Royco, suddenly he’s selling it off under the kids’ noses, and seemingly relishing depriving them of the control he’s at various points promised them.
