Fear The Walking Dead’s (2015) showrunner Dave Erickson is new to the Walking Dead (2010) franchise. He formerly served as executive producer and writer for Sons of Anarchy, and has production credits for Canterbury’s Law and Low Winter Sun.

Erickson aside, most of the production team responsible for The Walking Dead is employed on the companion series. Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead universe, is naturally involved and is credited with writing most of the first season with Erickson. The Walking Dead Executive Producers Dave Alpert and Gale Ann Hurd are Executive Producers for the companion series, as is Producer/Director/Makeup Effects Wizard Greg Nicotero.

The Walking Dead has employed a huge range of writers and directors across its seasons. Not much information is available yet as to who will be taking up directorial duties on Fear The Walking Dead, but the first few episodes are directed by Walking Dead newcomer Adam Davidson, who has a huge resume of television directorial experience.
