Which Reported Changes Were Not Made to “Into the Woods”?
In one of his public appearances before the shoot began, composer Stephen Sondheim leaked a couple of changes that Disney was allegedly making to his musical, Into the Woods. Sondheim said that that Prince would not have an affair with the Baker’s wife, and that the song “Any Moment” would be cut. However, neither of these changes were ultimately made. Sondheim also said that he wrote two new songs for the film, including one specifically for Meryl Streep, but both of these songs were ultimately cut from the film.
