Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is the next film in the Knives Out universe. Set to premiere in 2025 on Netflix, we can expect to see Daniel Craig return as the beloved Benoit Blanc, accompanied by a host of new characters played by some familiar (and maybe not) faces:

Cailee Spaeny

Spaeny is becoming a familiar face in Hollywood after her impressive performances in On the Basis of Sex (2018), Priscilla (2023), and Civil War (2024), as well as another upcoming title, Alien: Romulus (2024).

Josh Brolin

Having been in the game for over 40 years, Josh Brolin is a recognizable name to many. Gaining fame as a teenager in The Goonies (1985), he went on to play roles in many popular films, including No Country for Old Men (2007), Sicario (2015), Hail, Caesar! (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Deadpool 2 (2018), Dune (2021), Dune: Part Two (2024), and many more.

Andrew Scott

With over 70 titles to his name, Scott is another popular performer in Hollywood. Known mainly for his role as Sherlock Holmes’s archnemesis Jim Moriarty in the Sherlock series (2010-2017), Scott has also played roles in Saving Private Ryan (1998), 1917 (2019), Spectre (2015), Lennon Naked (2010), and more.

Jeremy Renner

An actor and singer, Renner began his career in numerous indie films and supporting roles until he later landed the lead role in 2002’s Dahmer, officially catching Hollywood’s attention. Later, Renner became famous for his roles in S.W.A.T. (2003), The Hurt Locker (2008), Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011), American Hustle (2013), Tag (2018), and as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite suffering from a near-fatal accident in 2023, Renner promises to continue acting in the future.

Josh O’Connor

Most recently playing Patrick Zweig in Challengers (2024), O’Connor has also performed in popular titles such as Peaky Blinders (2013-2022), Emma. (2020), The Crown (2016-present), and God’s Own Country (2017).

Mila Kunis

Kunis was 11 years old in her first role (as young Hope in one episode of Days of Our Lives (1965-2022) in 1994) and has been acting ever since. Kunis has played iconic roles in many titles, such as That ‘70s Show (1998-2006), Family Guy (1999-present), Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Black Swan (2010), Friends with Benefits (2011), Ted (2012), Bad Moms (2016), and more.

Kerry Washington

Washington—-actor, producer, and director—- is known best for her performances in Scandal (2012-2018), Ray (2004), Save the Last Dance (2001), Django Unchained (2012), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Fantastic Four (2005), and more.

Thomas Haden Church

Perhaps most recognizable from his performances as Flint Marko (or the Sandman) in Spider-Man 3 (2007) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), Church has also played roles in Easy A (2010), Sideways (2004), Accidental Texan (2023), The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019), and more.

Glenn Close

With almost 100 roles, Close has been acting since 1975. Her most recognizable roles are in Fatal Attraction (1987), The Wife (2017), Dangerous Liaisons (1988), 101 Dalmatians (1996), Mars Attacks! (1996), Air Force One (1997), and many more.

Daryl McCormack

While McCormack may not be as big of a name as some of the others listed above, he has performed impressively in numerous titles—-such as Peaky Blinders (2013-2022), Pixie (2020), Bad Sisters (2022-present), and The Woman in the Wall (2023-2024)—- and we can’t wait to see what he does in the upcoming Knives Out film.

While we may know little about the film so far, other than its existence and recently announced cast, we know production has begun with a sneak peek into Benoit Blanc’s new, shaggy look. Rian Johnson, writer and director of the franchise, is hard at work to ensure the audience gets the continuation they deserve. Judging by the first two films, Knives Out (2019) and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story (2022), we know the upcoming film will be just as hilarious, thrilling, and mysterious.
