Rick and Morty centers around Rick, an alcoholic and eccentric mad scientist, and Morty, Rick’s awkward 14 year old grandson. The show also focuses on the rest of the family, like Rick’s sister Summer and their parents Jerry and Beth. The show has been confirmed to take place across many different universes and many different planes of time. There are no limits to how wild the adventures of Rick and Morty can be, as literally anything is possible for them.
What is the story for Season 7?
The exact story is not clear for the new season, but there will certainly be chaos afoot. The released summary for the season is a little vague, as it says, “Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever. It’s season seven, and the possibilities are endless: what’s up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to the high school?! Maybe not! But let’s find out! There’s probably less piss than last season. ‘Rick and Morty,’ 100 years! Or at least until season 10!” This description shows anything is possible. The end of last season saw Rick and Morty encounter an evil Rick Prime> Could this season involve Rick hunting Rick Prime down? Only time will tell.
What are some expected episode titles?
Already, there have been some episode titles revealed for the upcoming season. The first episode, out on October 15th, will be called “How Poopy Got His Poop Back”. The second episode, out October 22nd, will be called “The Jerrick Trap”. The order of the rest of the episodes has not been determined, but other episode titles include, “Air Force Wong”, “That’s Amorte”, “Unmortricken”, “Rickfending Your Mort”, “Wet Kuat Amortican Summer”, “Rise of the Numbericons: The Movie”, “Mort: Ragnarick”, and “Fear No Mort”. Based on these episode titles, a lot of hilarity should be in store.
What happened to Justin Roiland?
Justin Roiland is the co-creator of Rick and Morty (along with Dan Harmon) and was also the voice of both of the main characters. Earlier this year, Roiland was charged with false imprisonment, domestic behavior, and inappropriate online behaviors with minors. There were also accusations of inappropriate conduct in the workplaces. Therefore, Rick and Morty had no choice but to fire Roiland from his voice-over roles. He was also fired from his other series, Solar Opposites. Season seven will be the first season of Rick and Morty without Roiland’s voice. It has yet to be announced who will be the new voice actor. One thing’s for sure, this change will lead to a unique season.
