Angus Cloud, born Conor Angus Cloud Hickey on July 10, 1998, was an American actor best known for his breakout role as the drug dealer Fezco, often called Fez, in the HBO television series Euphoria. Though much of his family resided in Ireland, Cloud was born and raised in Oakland, California, USA, Cloud is the older brother of twin sisters. For high school, he attended the School of Production Design at Oakland School for the Arts alongside Zendaya—-a bit of serendipity for the eventual costars and friends.

Cloud’s unique and raw talent quickly caught the attention of audiences and critics alike. His character Fezco is a thoughtful and laconic drug dealer who instantly became a fan favorite due to Cloud’s endearing portrayal, making him a breakout star.

Cloud’s journey to landing the role on Euphoria was unconventional. He was discovered by casting agents while working at a chicken restaurant in New York City, who he thought were trying to kind of scam him. Impressed by his unique look and natural charisma, they invited him to audition for the part. Despite having no previous acting experience, Cloud’s raw talent shone through, and he was cast as Fezco. His performance on Euphoria launched his career and made him a beloved part of the HBO show, especially thanks to his precious relationship with Lexi, played by Maude Apatow.

Before Angus rose to fame with his role in the hit HBO series ‘Euphoria’, he led a relatively normal, non-actor life. He was residing in Bushwick, New York, and worked at a chicken and waffle restaurant. Despite having no formal acting experience, Cloud had a background in theater from high school where he contributed to building sets and working on lighting and sound.

Through the show, he became very close with the Euphoria family, especially Javon “Wanna” Walton, who played Ashtray, Fez’s little brother. Angus was the soul of the show, and clearly deeply loved by his cast-mates and crew.

Cloud became a household name after being cast as Fezco. His naturalistic performance and distinct voice garnered him immense recognition and appreciation. Recently, he completed filming on the horror/thriller film, “Your Lucky Day” written and directed by Daniel Brown, and a so far untitled Universal Monsters film. He was also filming a movie called “Freaky Tales.”

In 2021, he was featured in the skating film “North Hollywood” as Walker, and in 2023 he starred in “The Line” alongside Halle Bailey, Austin Abrams, and Alex Wolff. He was also a bit of a familiar face in many musician’s music videos; with roles in the videos of Noah Cyrus, Juice WRLD, Becky G, and Karol G.

Despite his relatively short career, Cloud left an indelible mark on the industry with his remarkable performances that showcased a promising talent. His portrayal of Fezco in Euphoria displayed a depth and vulnerability that connected with audiences worldwide.

Angus Cloud suddenly passed away on July 31, 2023, at the age of 25. Although he is no longer with us, his performances continue to inspire many aspiring actors and will be remembered for years to come. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones in the wake of this terrible tragedy. May he rest in peace.
