A Place in the Sun

Loosely based on Theodore Dreiser's 1925 novel <em>An American Tragedy</em>, <em>A Place in the Sun </em>tells the story of a young man who begins working in his rich uncle's factory and dating a fellow employee. Just as he begins to climb the coporate ladder and captures the heart of a beautiful socialite, he realizes that he can't escape his past.
